If an instrument gets stuck at the boot screen, the recovery process described here may restore normal operation.

  1. Find your instrument model in the list below and use the link provided to download the recovery files. The files are saved in compressed format.
  2. Extract the files and copy them to the root folder of an empty  USB drive. A file with additional instructions will be included.  We recommend using a small (8 GB or less memory), FAT32-formatted, version 2.0 USB drive.
  3. Install the USB drive into the instrument, then power it on and allow several minutes for the process to finish. If successful, the instrument will proceed past the boot screen and operate normally.
  4. Remove the USB drive or delete the files so the recovery process does not begin again

Firmware may be restored to an earlier version. Find the most recent version for your instrument here.
