Moving files to and from the analyzer is often accomplished using a USB drive.

Users who frequently need to retrieve measurement data or display  images from the analyzer or want to move files such as EMI limit or cal files to the analyzer may find Windows File Explorer FTP convenient.

Make sure that the installed Uboot-OS version is 3.3.2 or higher and the Software version is 6.3R2 or higher. (Example SSA3075X-R)

If needed, use this link to download a zip file containing Uboot-OS version 3.3.2

Unpack the zip file and put it into the root folder of a FAT-32 formatted USB drive. Please try to use one that is smaller than 16 GB in size. Plug the drive into the analyzer and reboot it.

Check that the FTP Status is On

Press System on the front panel, then touch Interface to navigate to the Interface menu

The local directory of this example analyzer is initially empty.

After saving some files, it might look like this:

Ready to Connect by FTP

Type ftp:// with the analyzer IP address into the Windows Explorer box, as shown

Click on folder local

Or type:

ftp://<analyzer address>/local

to navigate directly the file folder

Note that Open cannot open files stored on the analyzer.

Copy and Paste the files from the analyzer to a new folder or location. To move the files, use Copy and Paste, then Delete them from the analyzer.

Once connected by FTP, the files may also be written to the analyzer. FTP can be used to transfer files from the computer to the local folder on the analyzer.
